Easter 2008

Easter is such a joyous time! It's the time of year that my soul swells with the knowledge that God loves me (and you) so much that He sent His only son to live and die for us so that we may have eternal life with Him!

I spent my Easter holiday with my family (even my Mom!) and I am truly blessed :) Here are some picture highlights...

What?!?

We're already in the second week of March and I haven't started the project I wanted to do or anything because I was down and out all last week with the flu. Not even the stomach flu, no this was the real deal so needless to say I didn't pick my camera up and seeing as how the housekeeper was down and out too (we're one in the same) I have to make the order and neatness of this house my first priority. BAH! But no, I have not stopped blogging so don't worry, I'll be back in full swing very soon :)

It's LEAP day!

I feel like I should be doing something special today seeing as this day only comes once every four years, but I don't know what to do. I want to take my camera outdoors but K-bug seems to be on day two of her napping strike and it's chilly outside-excuses excuses-so maybe later. We are going bowling tonight and I'll probably take my Nikon with me just for some fun. (do you get a sense of boredom in my typing today?)

Okay so there a million entries listed in Feburary and that's because I just started this blog but I wanted to blog everything that I had still in my picture files (there's a lot more to pull of off cds but I'll save some of that for March). Winterplace, WV

Feb 23-Hubby, me, and the B.'s took off to WV for some snow adventure. We got up at the crack of dawn, actually the sun was still sleeping, and hit the road. By the time we made it to the mountains the sun was starting to rise and it was beautiful dipping into the fog filled valleys.


The only thing we did was snow tube and I didn't have my Nikon with me (didn't want to break it) and of course silly me didn't check the batteries in my point and shoot so this is really the only other picture I got that was worth anything and of course I played around with it.

Needless to say it wasn't the best of times and it wasn't the worst of times but I speak for myself only when I say this but if I'm riding 3 hours in a car it better be to sit my booty down in a chair in front of the ocean soaking in the warm sunshine! I'm such a beach person!

A typical day

I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere but it is the life I live :) We have cows-why-I'm still not 100% sure. But I've become kind of fond of the the big animals and K-bug is in love with them. We have one who is a complete pet but she was too busy in the barn hogging up all the feed so she's not in any of the pictures. Oh, and her name is Big Red-real original. But next to our daughter the tractor is next in line for his pride and joy.


The one larger tan cow-that's Brownie-we've had her since she was a calf. She was bottle fed by us and is a complete snob and an excellent escape artist!

Little Man's First Photo Shoot

I was completely honored to be able to do my nephews first photos and was overall pleased on how they turned out. He was about three weeks old here.

It wasn't much but every little bit in the South counts!

Little Man at Home

I went for my first visit since Little Man came home and just snapped a few pictures here and there, not looking for anything great but did come back with some decent ones.

If he looks a little yellow, that's because he was, he had some jaundice.

He's Here!

Okay so I got a little out of order but on January 9, 2008 my nephew "Little Man" made his debut! He weighed in at a hefty 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20.5 inches. My camera and I got to go behind the scenes of his first bath and his hearing test.


Look at the head of hair this child is blessed with! If K-bug would have had that much hair she would have been wearing hairbows on day one!
